Aline Martin

From the Bible to the Koran: Divine love, human love.

Love is spoken of in the Bible, the Qur’an, and mystical poetry. Four readers give voice to excerpts from these texts in Hebrew, Greek, French, Arabic and Alsatian. Nine singers and instrumentalists interpret extracts from the musical repertoire of the three monotheistic religions.

This approach is part of the project of the association À livre ouvert / Wie ein offenes Buch: to take the time for art and literature, to listen to and meet authors of all origins and their works, in a spirit of openness and dialogue beyond all borders.

The artists gathered for this concert-reading all live in Alsace, remaining faithful to their German, Argentine, Greek, Israeli and Moroccan origins.
